Post Bit the bullet re Z-wave. Did anyone else?
Have my Z-wave hardware on the way. Going to start with a lock, thermostat and some motion sensors and a few outlets/switches to mesh it all together, hopefully. Of course counting on the Z-wave plug-in to make it all usable :)

Anyone else doing/planning similar?

Heinz

Using the Vera plugin? I have a Vera running with the plugin doing some scheduled lighting stuff - totally solid so far. They did a great job on that plugin. I haven't tested it with any other device types though so I'd be interested to hear some feedback on it with the locks and thermostat especially.

I'm definitely interested in hearing how it goes. Please let us know what brands/models you got -- there are lots of modules/brands, so I'm curious as to what the good ones are based on real world experience.

I got the Vera3, so that there'd be no "excuse" like oh' you only have the "lite" :)

Have a Homeseer sensor paired as a start. Just waiting for the plugin now.

Looks like I know what I'm doing this weekend :)

I got a vera3, some of the ge plugin dimmers and switches ( primarily as repeaters) and just received a Yale Real living keyless deadbolt lock. Will install next week after I get it rekeyed.
Did not get any thermostats as I bit the bullet and when with Nest. Also downloaded alugin for denon rec but not sure that will work with the Vera plugin?

The public beta of Indigo 6 now supports the Z-Stick 2 and some Z-Wave devices (with additional device support in the works). If you have a Z-Stick 2, then give it a try. Note it does not yet support the locks, but that is something we are investigating.

Best news in a long time :-)

Ordering my Z-Stick and plan to wean off the Vera plug-in as devices get added.

Feeling very optimistic. INSTEON and Z-Wave are an excellent combination as each has its own strong points.

Thank you Matt.

Edit: Forgot to ask:
Can Z-Stick and Vera Plugin co-exist? I.e. use Vera Plugin for devices not yet done in INDIGO?
