I already have the ezrain that I really wasnt happy with, is the ezflora more reliable and stable than the ezrain, is it worth the purchase!

I have removing the ezrain the either install a classic irrigation or the ezflora...... Waiting on you guys feedback to make the decision ;)

I recently installed 2 EZFlora and am happy with the results. I have more flexibility in my watering schedule - was suffering from killing my well with the traditional system and after three weeks, I haven't had a single issue.

What problems did you have with the EZRain? Overall, they seem to work pretty well. The EZFlora is just the newer version of the EZRain, so if you had a particular problem you might want to make sure it has been fixed.

Zone wasn't shutting off before starting the next zone and so on and pressure would drop like crazy.
Also when controlling individually was having a lot of problem starting them individually and closing them!
But mostly my problems was in manual mode managing them via the iPhone interface

I've had the EZflora for about a year and a half now and have had zero problems with it (using Indigo 4 and now 5 with a PowerLinc Modem 2413U). I've never had it turn on more than one zone at a time. I don't even know if it can do that. I'm not sure if you're referring to the Indigo Touch interface or some other interface, but the Indigo Touch iPhone interface to control the sprinkler zones individually works perfectly for me (though I almost always just have Indigo scheduled tasks run a regular sprinkler schedule).

I love my EZFloras. Have had some frustrating problems with sync but their support has been good. Recommended.

No issues with mine as well after a year and a half...and sitting out in a metal
box all winter.

Is the EZflora 100% insteon technology?

"EZFlora is an 8-zone sprinkler controller that allows direct management of up to 8 irrigation valves (zones) through the convenience of an INSTEON or X-10 home automation network. EZFlora may be set up minimally with an INSTEON PLC for stand-alone operation or, with a PC for unlimited control possibilities.

EZFlora manages timers for the duration of each sprinkler zone, either individually, or in pre-programmed sequences. Up to four independent programs may be set, giving EZFlora unparalleled flexibility to keep your lawn and garden healthy."

Note, however, that Indigo does not support setting independent programs within EZFlora. All scheduling and zone control (AFAIK) is done within Indigo.

You can with a schedule for each zone create your own. This is what I do. I've got the max watering times set in the EZFlora device configs and then created a schedule for each zone. It is not the neatest thing in the world, but it does work.

In addition, Berkinet also has a super sprinkler Plugin in 3rd party plugins which allows you go "gang" multiple EZFloras into a virtual 16, 24, 32, etc system in Indigo. What I did with mine was set up a control page image of my yard with each zone laid out graphically turning green when the zone triggers, and a second "manual" page that allows me to set a time for any particular zone and trigger it from the computer (or my iPhone using Touch... which works just fine from insided a ziploc bag when I'm running around looking for plugged, stuck, and broken heads).

Can we please see a photo of your control page?

It's nothing special; I just laid out a rough approximation of my yard in a drawing program (Visio in my case, but there are many available, search the forum for free ones), saved it as a jpg, then created a poly for each zone in a separate layer, saved a jpg of each of those with a light and a dark background (the reason they aren't the same is because Visio is real hard to set the colors consistently) at the same resolution, changed the jpgs to pngs with preview, then moved those "Zone x" (light background) and "Zone x On" (dark background) pngs to the controls folder. Clicking on the up arrow adds 5 minutes to the zone time up to 60 minutes, the down arrow reduces the time in minute increments to 0 and tapping on any zone toggles it on or off...
