I have had a Python quits unexpectedly error once in a while. Within the last week or so it has been happening about 2 times s day. I'm running Lion and had a Lion update around the same time. Maybe it is due to that. I'm going to install Indigo on Snow Leopard and see if it helps. I don't ever remember seeing Python errors with Snow Leopard when I ran it previously.

When it happens there is a long error report that is sent to Apple. I can't make anything of it.

We're using the standard Python 2.5 install so unfortunately it probably means there's some systemic problem going on. I'm running Lion 10.7.3 and don't see it. If it was happening before (albeit less frequently) then it's likely the last system update didn't cause it but rather perhaps exacerbated the issue somehow.

I see that no one else is having this problem. I'm still going to try using Snow Leopard and see how it runs.
