Can't access server when outside of LAN
Indigo touch runs fine on my iPhone when I'm in or around my house. I've set up a Prism Reflector account and all seems to be activated and running on my mac running Indigo. I can't manage to get any access once I'm outside of my LAN when either over 3G or when on another wifi network. I'm not seeing any errors in the event log that would tell me there are any problems with the reflector connection.
Any thoughts on what to try next?

While on your local network, delete the connection in indigo touch, close the configuration window, open it again and click on the server again.

Re: Can't access server when outside of LAN
I'm having the same problem 2 days in a row ever since I updated to 5.0.3. It worked OK for a while (outside my house on the internet), then it stopped after an hour or so. I'll try this procedure That Jay suggested. Did it work for you after this mwarner?
Jay. I have to manually add the server since it is my external IP address using port 8176. So I should delete this server and then add it again manually while I'm connected to my home internal wifi? Correct?
Like I said it worked for a while at work and then stopped. Yesterday when I got home I had to reset Indigo. I'l check it out more today when I get home and try using the external internet server rather than the internal one.

Re: Can't access server when outside of LAN
Since you're using a fixed internet accessible IP address you should be able to add it any time (since you're manually adding it).
5.0.3 changed nothing about how Indigo communicates with Indigo Touch (via IWS) so I'm quite skeptical that's the problem. I'd verify that my external IP is actually functioning properly...

Re: Can't access server when outside of LAN
Since I just had a concern yesterday I did not have a chance to intricately check out all conditions. This is what I just noticed on the surface. I saw this post and thought I'd post a reply here since it appeared to be related.
I'll check it out more tonight.
Thanks,
Dave

Re: Can't access server when outside of LAN
Not sure when problem developed, but I can no longer access my server from outside my LAN. trying to access from iPhone and get message "Could Not Connect to The Server" "Connection to Indigo Server failed:XXXXX.com"
Worked last week. Only thing I can think of that is different is that I jailbroke my iPhone today.

Re: Can't access server when outside of LAN
Are you using GoPrism, or did you manually enter your home IP address for the connection?
Does it work from Safari on the iPhone?
What does the Event Log show when the Indigo Server first starts up?

Re: Can't access server when outside of LAN
Problem solved. Needed to open the port to the outside through my router. Opened port 8176 on the machine with the server.
********************
Manually entered home address (as i said, used to work). I have gotten a bit lazy and forgot how I used to call up pages from safari? Below is startup log. Looks like web server starts up on port 8176.
Actually tried opening up DMZ and that fixed the problem. I must not be opening up the proper port for the iPhone app. What port is necessary. I have a router on my LAN and need to direct it to right machine. I changed the router to an ASUS N66 recently, that must have messed up my web access?
