I'm using an older version of Indigo, 7.0 .4. Works great, does everything I need.
One thing I have is a dry contact sensor for a doorbell button. Someone presses the doorbell, the dry contact closes, a Z wave command is sent, Indigo flashes bulbs throughout the house.
This works great, unless it's sunny and I don't see the bulbs flashing. Since I am deaf there's no chance of hearing a doorbell.
I thought of a way to solve this. In addition to having the bulbs flash, I could send an SMS to my phone to have it vibrate. I doubt there would be more than 10 SMS messages per year.
Is there way to send SMS messages from indigo – maybe through a Python or Apple script?
Thanks,
Barry.
